MAIDO MIND is a musical duo featuring Yumi Torimaru, stellar multi-instrumentalist and director of TAKOHACHI/Kotori Kai Shamisen school, and Nozomi Imade, a remarkable pianist and vocalist from Nozomi Music School based in Sherwood, Oregon. MAIDO MIND consistently brings a vast variety of selections to their performances; everything from old to new, traditional to contemporary, classic to avant garde, and everything in between. Each show provides an entrancing, magical experience.

As the first international shamisen community, Bachido’s founder, Kyle Abbott, will be joining his wife, Su Bunjamin, along with their musical friends from California. They will present a selection of songs that we will showcase at the recital on the next day, featuring tsugaru shamisen and guitar! Also, we will have a surprise guest!
